A stellar experience

Intro

Whether it is cloudy or clear, warm or cold, you can enjoy a star-filled sky in the comfort of the L.E. Phillips Planetarium, located in Phillips Science Hall. You can attend a public showing to be immersed in the night sky while learning about astronomy or book a private showing for your class or other group.

Public shows

From February 06, 2025 through and including April 17, 2025 public shows begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. on most Thursday evenings and typically include a 60-minute interactive presentation about astronomy with plenty of time for questions. The spring 2025 topic is "the lives of the stars". Admission of $5 per guest must be paid in cash at the door.

In the case of holidays and inclement weather, please check this website for cancellation notices before coming to a public show. There will be no show on Thursday March 20, which falls during spring break.

During summer and winter breaks, there are no public shows.

Private Shows

We also offer private shows during the 澳门葡京网赌送彩金 academic year. These are perfect for field trips, scouting groups, birthday parties, or company team building. Due to an anticipated absence of our director in late spring 2025, these cannot be scheduled beyond April 17, 2025, but they will resume in February 2026.

Getting to the Planetarium

The Planetarium is located at 101 Roosevelt Ave, Eau Claire, WI in the north wing of Phillips Science Hall, at the center of the James Newman Clark Bird Museum. Parking is available just south of Phillips Science Hall for public shows. For private shows before 4:00 PM, please work with the planetarium director to arrange parking.
